You are based in Europe, preferably in Sweden at our office located in the city center of Luleå, Sweden, but we are flexible relating to the location.

What will you accomplish?

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Netrounds, you will be a key resource for ensuring the high availability of the Netrounds Control Center hosted on AWS. You will also manage and utilize the resources that goes a long with it, such as the ELK stack, backup scripts and monitoring systems. Furthermore, you will also lead a migration project together with a team of software engineers to plan, design and deploy the SaaS and aforementioned resources in a AWS hosted Kubernetes service. For example, you will:

  • Update, backup and maintain all production systems hosted on AWS.
  • Plan and migrate the monolithic SaaS deployment over into a micro-service architecture (Kubernetes) in AWS.

  • Troubleshoot, resolve and document any incidents that may occur with minimal downtime.

  • Investigate, design and implement robust and cost-effective deployments in a cloud-native landscape.

The Netrounds SaaS is being utilized by some of the largest Telecom operators and Enterprise businesses in the world to monitor business critical network KPI’s. It is of highest importance to maintain a high up-time and have thoroughly documented procedures in place.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls),

  • Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting systems with a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a sense of drive.

  • Experience with virtualization and containerization.

  • Experience with at least one public cloud provider for instance AWS, Azure or GCP.

  • Excellent understanding of computer networking (e.g., routing, iptables, VPN) or cloud systems.

  • Experience programming in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go etc.

  • Experience with version control systems like GIT.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with working with Amazon Web Services.

  • Experience with time-series and relational databases.

  • Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems.

  • Experience designing and developing software oriented towards systems or network automation (Terraform and/or Ansible).

  • Experience in computer security

  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
